Today was my birthday. It has been a very long and difficult year for me, full of challenges but also with love, excitement and learning. In some aspects, I'd never trade this year with anything. In one particular aspect, I'd do it without hesitation.
My wife got me Robert Jordan's The Wheel of Time series as my birthday gift (after a hint was dropped, of course!). I read Jordan's series a few years ago, over the course of more than two years. As I read them all in digital, I always wanted to get them for my library, as part of my reading collection. My wife got them for me, and I was very excited to clear a dedicated shelf for them above my Brandon Sanderson shelf.
